Unfortunately, we don't finance projects and aren't interested in trading services. We require half upfront and the rest upon completion of your project. Perhaps you were a bit ambitious when making your selections, and maybe need to re-assess your vision based on your budget. We know that not everyone is financially ready for the chance to work with Tough Guppy Productions. However, for the quality of work produced, we feel our costs are more than reasonable. We invite you to search the web for a company that takes as much pride in their work as we do for the same low cost. We appreciate your interest in Tough Guppy, but please be aware that we are looking for clients who have the budget to afford our reasonable prices.

Some of our clients like to go big with their order and don't realize that there are some options that could end up costing or saving them money. You may have selected items that brought up the estimate that maybe you don't need right away.

We'll take a look at your consultation and provide you with our recommendations for your project(s). However, since this form works as a free consultation, we won't be able to provide you with another consultation with our input without charging a $50 fee for the time it will take us to review your order and make valuable suggestions. If we feel that the above estimate fits your needs and is the lowest price possible, there won't be an extra fee.

Time is money. We are happy to help you with this first free consultation and provide you with a tentative estimate, but taking the additional time to review your form and make a second custom proposal is work we feel we should be compensated for. We are confident that we will offer you the lowest price possible, and appreciate your interest in Tough Guppy Productions.

Payment Schedule

As both phases are completed, we will send an invoice based on the following schedule:

+ An initial deposit of 50% is required to begin the project.

+ Upon completion of your project (ie. uploading of final html (or other) pages, pictures, and products to your server), a final payment of the remaining balance is due within 7 days.

Ownership

All files incorporating the artwork that are uploaded to the client server or delivered on CD-ROM are considered the final deliverable and considered works-made-for-hire by Tough Guppy for the client. The Client will own all rights, titles and interest in the artwork, including without limitation, all Intellectual Property Rights, for the duration of the rights in each country, in all languages, throughout the World.

Scope of Work Overview

+ Website: A custom website is created from the approved site flowchart, wireframe, and finally design. The site flowchart will show all pages and related sections to be created. Websites include implementation of your videos, photos, text and any related designs. All designs for the website will be created in 72 dpi images for on screen viewing only.

Upon completion of the website, one round of text revisions can be made without additional charges. After these revisions are completed, the website will be considered complete and will be uploaded to be viewed by the public.

+ Logo: A custom logo consisting of 3 black + white design comps will be presented for your approval. One round of revisions is included. Upon selection of a design, a final full color design will be created at 300 dpi (suitable for printing in marketing materials and related advertising.)

+ Content: All text + images will be supplied by the client unless specified (as we can create all content including copy, photos and related graphics). All content must be received prior to starting the design phase of the project. All text must be supplied in a word document or email with all revisions completed and spell checked. We are not responsible for inaccuracies, false information, spelling errors, or other mistakes included in the supplied text as it will all be copied and pasted from the source you supply us with.

Our Process

+ Step 1: Development of Branding & Online Strategy

We will create a website structure in the form of a flow chart. This flow chart will allow you to see where all content will be located and will give you an overview of how viewers will see your information. We will also work with you to create a wireframe, which is basically the blueprints for your site. The wireframe works as a visual guide, showing the skeletal framework of your website before any design is implemented.

+ Step 2: Design Comps

Once the flow chart & wireframe are approved and we receive your deposit, we will begin developing a homepage design for your website. This design will come directly from the approved wireframe and will include ideas and direction agreed upon in the initial consultation. This design will be presented as a static jpeg file without functional interactivity or programming.

In addition to your website, a logo and visual identity will be created simultaneously to establish your complete brand identity.

If needed, we will provide you with revisions to the design, and tweak it to your liking. If a design direction can't be agreed on after 2 design options are presented, additional designs can be created for an hourly rate of $65.

+ Step 3: Design Implementation

Design Implementation includes the development of the approved design into HTML or a custom template. Logo design will be developed into a 300 dpi file suitable for printing.

Keeping to Your Budget + Deadline

+ Timely Receipt of Materials & Completion Date: A “Content list” will be supplied to you along with the Website architecture. All materials must be received prior to starting your project. We strongly recommend that materials be received within 7 days of approving this proposal in order to begin the project on schedule.

+ Proper Materials: Text files should be supplied in a word or text document, spell checked and completed to your specifications. We accept photos in a variety of formats including jpeg, psd., tiff, preferably at high resolution (300 dpi). When we receive materials that do not conform to these specifications, we incur additional billable expenses and/or deadline extensions.

Please note that Tough Guppy is not responsible for compatibility issues that arise off other servers.

General Information

Once a final payment is received from the client for their project, Tough Guppy assumes termination of the initial proposal. Any new work requested requires a new estimate and signed proposal. A “website created by Tough Guppy Productions” link will be included in the footer of the homepage. Tough Guppy reserves the right to use elements from this project on our own website and related self-promotional purposes.
